Waiting staff seemed unimpressed with customers and service was slow to the point of us being ignored. Cakes were OK, just quite dry which was disappointing.
They offered a pleasant continental breakfast of coffee, tea, and various rolls and buns. It's a cozy, little diner right off of High Holborn, and seems to be popular spot for people to have tea in the afternoon.
We went here for breakfast. The service was pleasant and quick, the coffee was good, as was the freshly squeezed orange juice. But the pastry, which was supposed to come close to the original French quality, was pathetic. Popped in here for a coffee and a bun between business meetings. Waitress struggled to understand me and explain the menu as English was not her first language. Maybe she was new but not a very relaxing/welcoming visit

Arrived here at 10am on a Saturday morning and it was very busy with only a couple of small tables available inside (but plenty outside to be fair). There were also only two staff serving so it was a bit slow and it was apparent several other customers were becoming frustrated which isn't a great atmosphere for a relaxing breakfast.... 更多
Truly awful pastries. I went to Patisserie Valerie twice - in two different locations (the second time not by choice!). I had a very good bacon sandwich at the first but the chocolate croissant was worse than what you would get at Starbucks! Which is saying a lot.
