Part of an authentic Hunan and Szechuan cuisine is that they offer dishes made from offals, which can be off putting to general diners. But in this restaurant, you will find plenty if you are a fan.
Yipin China is located in an almost suburban section of Islington. It is roughly a 10-minute leisurely walk from the Angel Tube station or Islington High Street. Its shop front is very unassuming. This theme continues into the dining space. The dining area is very light, almost stark in its simplicity, but it lends to the atmosphere. As we walked... 更多
Who went: Couple Age range: Mid 20s Spent: around £35.00 incl 10% service charge I really enjoyed my meal here! I'd never noticed the restaurant before but my partner said it was really good. From the outside it didn't look like one of the nicest places I've been too. Inside it was really empty too, we were the only ones... 更多
Enjoyed our meal last week and will definitely be returning. Portions are large and are meant for sharing so prices look high but are not really. Food is fresh and lacks MSG. My partner had a chilli fish which was wonderful, tasty and perfectly cooked and I chose the chicken with cumin - should have been called cumin with chicken... 更多
This place has a reputation for good food. I've been a few times before and agree that it is not your average Chinese fare. But food is not quite everything especially at £30 for rice, two dishes and a tiger beer. The place is spartan, and so is the service. The least I could expect was a bowl to eat... 更多
We have been here around twenty times. It is one of our favourite restaurants in London. Most recently we got a takeaway and i cycle up to get it, and it was just as delicious at home. Definitely try the dry wok dishes or anything stir fried with garlic.
What an amazing food experience - possibly the best Chinese restaurant in London. The food was tasty and fresh, the food was not greasy at all so even after a feast we had over a working lunch we didn't feel stodgy as you would from an average Chinese restaurant. You must try the dry wok chicken and the crispy duck... 更多
I've eaten here with colleagues again this week as our previous experience had been a good one. We weren't disappointed! The food is delicious and authentic and very reasonably priced. You have to ignore the decor as its a bit basic but we were there for the food. The online reservation system doesn't seem to work so I would suggest... 更多
Tasty Szechuan cuisine is a perfect remedy to this chilly weather. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service good. I found the Kung Po chicken contained too much cornflour and vinegar for my tastes, although the spicy frogs legs and minced pork with aubergines were absolutely delicious.
Saw a 'Michelin recommenced' sign in Yipin China window so we thought we give it a try even though the store front dose not look attractive. Food was actually very good quality, surprisingly authentic and reasonable priced. It is a tad on the spice side so prepare for a bit of a challenge. Service was reasonable too, a typical chinese... 更多
