I went to this pub last night with friends and had a great meal in an authentic English pub. As a main I had the Cumberland sausage with mash, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size was also generous. So much so I could not fit in dessert. Talking about desserts, the menu looked awesome. When it comes to... 更多
My girlfriend and I called in recently while staying in Cockermouth and were impressed by the helpful staff and nice pub food. Even though many of the tables were already reserved they found a space for us to eat without question. Good range of drinks and friendly employees make for a pleasant experience

On a very busy Easter Sunday we were very kindly accommodated, five of us were relieved to find such a wonderful traditional pub serving excellent fine ales and great quality food. The landlady was very kind and a great hostess. A well presented pub with a great friendly atmosphere. A perfect find.

We called at the Bitter End for a bar meal on Wednesday evening. We were very disappointed with the choice on the menu. There was only one dish on the special board. So we all made the decision to eat elsewhere.
Excellent varied menu offering well cooked enjoyable food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff serving a good selection of local draft beers. Tremendous assortment of old photos around the room showing the history of the area. Worth walking out of the town centre for.
