We hadn't pre booked and walked in at tea time on Wednesday by chance to get a table for four. We were very warmly greeted by the owners (I think) and were told we could have a table if we were ok to wait which we were. He apologised as it was a bit hectic as they were short staffed.... 更多
We like to come here at the beginning of the evening on a night out in St Ives. It is always the perfect place to get a comfy chair and relax with a fabulous view. I've not eaten here before so I couldn't comment on that but the service at the bar is normally great. However, last time I came... 更多
During our week's stay in st.ives we ate at the restaurant twice. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to seat us at our requested table on our second visit. We didn't have to wait long for our food which was very reasonably priced. Found the restaurant to have a great... 更多
My husband and decided to have dinner here as we had thoroughly enjoyed our visit last year. This time it was even better than before! We both had a tot of rum whilst perusing the menu and noticed that there were a few very nice additions. We both enjoyed our meals so much that we decided to eat there the... 更多
Visited late lunch, without booking. Funky little (upstairs) restaurant/bar, eclectic furnishings, relaxed atmosphere, fab views. Food good, tried the shack burger, as never had soft shell crab before, and slider with sweet potato fries... Was pretty good (would be interested to try whole fresh crab or claws next time). And of course a drink of Rum - would be rude... 更多
We asked to book a table in the afternoon, and were told that bookings aren't accepted and to just turn up. Arrived and found that, although busy, there was a table free but not for us. Confusing.
We wanted a crab, so it was an obvious choice. A great idea for something different in a harbour town full of fancy seafood restaurants and fish and chip shops. Very well thought through- every detail fits and it's really pleasant all around. The crabs were huge and meaty and we felt we can enjoy them in a straightforward messy... 更多
Visited on strength of reviews. Poor service. Had the Gumbo which turned out to have no crab in it at all - just prawns. Told the sauce was made with crab stock. Could have fooled me! The rice was good though.
The four of us (two adults and two children) visited this restaurant on the last day of our holiday in Cornwall. We wanted to visited somewhere different which wasn't one of your usual chains. The restaurant was busy, but we managed to get a table, but the waitress did warn us in advance that there was a wait for the... 更多
We visited the restaurant whilst on holiday and found the staff very accommodating. The food was very well presented and tasted as good as it looked! Highly recommended for service, food and in addition amazing views over St. Ives harbour (did I mention the view...)
We visited here on a Monday lunchtime. I had the crab soup and 1/2 crab sandwich, the other half had the Po boy. Both were excellent as was the service. We'll visit again when next in St Ives.
Our family told about this one. The food was good and the location couldn't be faulted. We had a lunch and enjoyed it. We would try it again when in the area possible for dinner.
Visited here on a Saturday night - glad we had booked as it was full (as were most places in St Ives so do get a reservation). This is a great fun place for casual dining, with a great atmosphere on a Saturday. Some things did seem a bit random, but we really loved it and the food was really... 更多
