Came back for there liver and onions, which are delicious. The inside of the pub is really how a English pub should look.
Pubs like this are hard to find. The moment you walk in you feel welcomed. It was like Cheers in Boston, where everybody knows your name. The warmth and ambience is there in bucketfuls . In no time at all we were conversing with the regulars and the visitors and of course the one and only George, the master of ceremonies... 更多
We found this very handy to our rental when visiting the area. A shout out to George the bar keep for keeping us in stitches as he interacted with customers and coming across a gruff old bird but knowing he was pulling everyone's leg for the most part. Food (only serve later in the day) was great and pints were... 更多
Arrived late one evening looking for supper, the pub was full but the staff advised us to have a drink and they would find a table for us. This we did, and about ten minutes later they had a table for us. We had a light supper of the snack tray to share and a bowl of soup each. All... 更多
We read the reviews and must admit I lived up to our expectations, we phoned first to book a table and although it was full it didn't feel as if you were on top of each other, the gammon was lovely and a nice cut of meat not fatty, lasagna was fantastic not cheap mince and not over powering on... 更多
Great pub with good food and drink. We went for a few meals in Sept 2016. Parking is a bit of a problem you have to park on the street. Can recommend this pub for both food and drink
Came with family friends as one of their locals whilst we were on holiday. Betty stogs, st austell and doom bar on tap which was dissapointing. Think we had end of the barrell as was still ok but required alot of pulling. Had moussaka and stroganoff. Both were really nice. Great old fashioned pub with very friendly staff.
