Absolutely superb pub. The service is genuine and friendly. The food isn't boil in a bag and microwave. It's all proper made large meals. Tastes like nothing else around. The waiting times have always been good. Recently refurbished beer garden which has an option of shade. Absolutely sold on this place. Love it!!!!!!!
Just been to the Piper for a family meal. Couldn't fault the food. Bit of a rustic feel to the food.Shared the baked camembert and the breads with my daughters. These two sharers were more than enough for us three. I then had the sea bass and my daughters had the burgers. We were all bursting at the seams!! The... 更多
I held a charity event at The Piper on Sunday and popped up to thank the management for a successful event today. I stopped for lunch as a little treat and I am glad I did. Gorgeous parmesan chicken with pesto gnocchi, very tasty and the chicken was moist and cooked to perfection. There was a Mummys coffee morning ending... 更多
Spot of Lunch on a lovely Saturday, sat in the beer garden. Two courses for £8.95 was an absolute bargain. Large connect 4 kept us entertained with a couple of tasty cask beers. Will be back to try the main menu on our next trip to Hoole.
After visiting the piper today I ordered the 3 course sunday meal, first course came out quickly though as I was seated outside the girl serving seemed to be annoyed with me that she had to ask who has ordered food! The main came out after a very lengthy wait which I was not made aware of when I ordered,... 更多

Great food and lovely atmosphere! We ate here due to a recommendation from the place we were staying and would eat here again in a heart beat! If you get the chance I would recommend highly.
After an exhausting day at the zoo with 7 family members this was the perfect tonic. Attentive staff in a family orientated pub which was relaxed and the food was amazing. Games and books to occupy our 2 year old were also fantastic. 3 of us had the hogfather burger which was immense, pulled pork on top of chorizo on... 更多
We visited as part of a visit to Chester, and found a pleasant pub with a good friendly atmosphere for a reasonable price. The outside and some parts of the inside could do with a lick of paint but generally it was a very nice place for lunch.
Popped in on my home from Chester, after searching for a place to eat on trip advisor. Found the Piper to be a lovely place to eat, with the family. Children's menu was bright and had plenty of choices for the little one's, with a free dessert for them which went down a treat. The games provided such as the... 更多
Visited here a week or two ago and had a wonderful meal. The mixed bread plate starter was enormous and excellent value. I had sausage and mash for my main course whilst my husband had duck confit on a bed of noodles.( not your usual pub grub). Good selection of ales and a decent glass of white wine made the... 更多
I live on the outskirts of Chester and had been on a day out with the family in search of something to eat on the way home we decided to stop at the pipers. It looked reasonable from outside until we got inside and it was full of drunk costumers who looked like they had been there all-day, maybe keep... 更多

Found this pub on the net as a friend was staying in a hotel close by. What a find. Menu looked ambitious for pub food but was well cooked plentiful and served quickly with a smile and two mains and desserts for under £30. Nice atmosphere from groups watching football to decent bar area. Plenty of space despite the fact... 更多
Only live a short walk from the Piper but have never been in, thinking it was more a pub for watching sport. Heard about the refurb, so thought we'd give it a go. Went on Sunday at 5pm. It was quite quiet, though there were enough people to give it atmosphere. I had the fish and chips. Lovely crispy fish... 更多
