We have been coming to CJ's since they took over for Casey's Overall good food and service. You should try the homemade chicken fingers.
This is a great place to go with a group of people to celebrate an occasion as they have a little room to accommodate this type of function. Variety on the menu and so far all have been mouth watering. My personal favourite is the Chicken Parmisienne. Pub style atmosphere. We have always had great experiences here.
When we arrived we were greated by a very nice gentelmen who kindly seated us. It took about 7min to be ask about drink, not very good for it being 10pm and there was about 10 people in the restaurent. Once our drinks came back 5 min later she took our order for food. We stopped by to have a drink and snack, and watched the Euro soccer game. It was quite short of staff when we arrived at 3pm. That's very understandable. We ordered fish and chips and enjoyed the game. Service was okay friendly and food was average.
First the waitress had dirty fingernails. I ordered the smoked beef sandwich on rye. The meat was cold the rye Stale. The salad was small. Initially everything went well. Took the standard 5 to 10 minutes to take our order. Then we waited 45 minutes for burgers and fish and chips. Can't speak for the burgers but the fish was average pub fish. Fries were small, and they put my coleslaw on top of my fries.
CJs is a new restaurant, but not really, it use to be a Casey's. The relaunch was a huge success of atmosphere and road house restaurant. Cobourg, ON was not a good fit for Casey's and the Manager had that figured out. The menu was overhauled along price and portion adjustment. They also bring in local bands on certain nights... 更多
