Not really a restaurant, more of a farmer's market for one farm. Fresh made bread, pesto (to die for!), Homemade feta cheese. Also yogurt and salad greens. All made there. They also had kraut going,but it wasn't ready yet. Very interesting and knowledgeable owners. My family are a loaf of bread, block of cheese and pesto going down the road... 更多
We stopped for an afternoon snack of yogurt and cinnamon rolls while driving from Arches to Capitol Reef and really enjoyed it. Sat on the screened porch and just relaxed. The flock of goats added to the fun and we had a very nice chat with the farm's owner. It's a unique experience.
We were looking for a lunch stop after Capitol Reef headed towards Moab. There aren't a lot of choices, but this was a good stop, not what we expected, but good. The proprietor was very helpful, though the selction was limited. We bought chevre and ate it on the porch with salami and pretzels we brought with us.
The drive to Mesa Farm Market from Capitol Reef National Park takes you through a beautiful and eerie landscape. I was here all the back in July 2003. I was nine years old (it's been 12 years and I still remember it vividly). Lovely couple runs the place. Great cantaloupe smoothies. The town at that time had 27 people, and there were three of us. So, we raised the population by 11% as a result.
The peach smoothies are so good! Lightly sweetened. Great cheese, sourdough bread, yogurt, and conversation with the owner. We made a picnic and headed to the park in Fruita.
Stopped by for bread and cheese here on our way east from Capitol Reef.
