There a many Thai restos in Montreal, but only some are of very good quality. Chao Phraya has very consistent and fine food.
We've been going to this Thai restaurant for years. The food has remained deliciously consistent, but their prices have increased out of the market! Not sure when I'll be back.
I have posted previously about Chao Praya which has been our Thai restaurant for the last 25 almost 30 years. Probably the restsurant I went the most often. Prices are way up and quality way down. Sometime we go there and sometime we order. When ordering, there is often something missing and it takes forever. As mentionned in another review,... 更多
Went to Chayo Phraya recently with friends for dinner. Overall the service, meal & prices were very good. We all enjoyed our food selection with the service being excellent and friendly. I would definitely come back again.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants, so I decided to go back as I was in Montreal for a few days...huge disappointment service-wise, I was by myself and it took 15 minutes for the waitress to come take my order...then it took 30 minutes more to get a won-ton soup, at which point I ordered the rest of the meal... 更多

This past weekend's visit was not as good as ones before: the menu changed, portions looked smaller, our Koung Sam Rod shrimp was crunchier than before, drinks looked smaller, and our favourite Tom Kah Talay... 更多
Having read a lot of good reviews we decided to try it out. The decor is quite nice and since we were a group of 12, we were seated on the second floor close to the wine cellar. Despite the fact that it was Sunday night and there were not too many guests the service was quite slow. The food... 更多
This the worst so-called "Thai" restaurant we ever went to! The food was very greasy and looked like the cheapest fast-food decorated with basil leaves and other herbs to make it "home made" and re-heated in a microwave. The bill was staggering considering the pitiful fare: $50 per person (and we mostly had appetizers; not main dishes)! We should have... 更多
This was our first meal when we arrived in Montreal, and it really warmed us up from January's winter chill. Don't come here expecting cheap eats, though. It's one of the nicer Thai places I've been to, and a favorite of our local friends. We had a large party, which the staff were able to accommodate in the mezzanine level... 更多
