Always a pleasure to come here. Beautiful artwork and love it. Owners are always great and food and coffee is always top shelf.
I don't need to waste a lot of your time reading or my time writing this review - just go to Pavia. If you're looking for chic, modern, bright decor, fabulous fresh food, an art gallery that features interesting, local artists and possibly Halifax's best coffee/espresso drinks, just go. You won't be disappointed. The co-owner, Chris Webb, is also an... 更多
I had coffee and a biscuit with a friend at the Herring Bay cafe. The biscuits, though excellent were dramatically different in size. The coffee looked good but the milk was not stretch cheddar as much as it was in the Pavia Library cafe. Decore and service were wonderful. Well worth a visit.
In this area of town the dining scene seems to be dominated by fast food, and this is like an oasis in the food desert. It is small, and can be noisy, with a limited menu. All food is made on the premises, is fresh, imaginative, and well presented. The curried cauliflower soup was delicious and with half a sandwich... 更多
Pavia is by far the best coffee in the city in my humble opinion. The drinks are really delicious and creamy <3. The coffee comes from a small town in Italy and all the ingredients they use are from local vendors in Nova Scotia. We used to drive up to Herring Cove when they started and now enjoy visiting them... 更多
Had a quick lunch in both the Art Gallery and the Central Halifax Library locations. Both times, found the services good and sandwich tasty. What can beat having a break inside the gallery and library with excellent food and coffee. If you are in the library area, make sure you take a break with a cup of coffee and take... 更多
During our family vacation in Nova Scotia in July 2016 we stayed in Herring Cove, a pretty village a short drive to the south west of Halifax. The Pavia Gallery Espresso Bar & Cafe is on the junction of the 349 and the turn-off to Herring Cove so is easy to find, has adequate parking, and offers a range of... 更多
There are several locations. The Halifax Central Library location is quite nice as it includes a rooftop patio. Pavia is a nice locally owned business, which sells a superior product. I will avoid S.B and T.H. and always go to Pavia. The blueberry tea is amazing.
My love affair with Pavia Gallery began years ago with the original location in Herring Cove. Being a original Purcells Cove girl, it was very special to have a wonderful little place like this in our backyard. I have watched Pavia grow in to one of the most beloved cafes in Halifax, opening locations in both the Central Library and... 更多
