Stopped in for lunch with my family for a bite. The place was OK.. the food was average.... just another tourist eatery along the board walk.
It started very strangely--I ordered a glass of wine and was told I couldn't have one because they were out of wine glasses. I've been to places before where they had run out of wine, but never glasses. So I said I was happy to drink out of whatever glasses they had. She finally relented and I got a very... 更多
Casual dining inside under roof, or choose the outside patio. The staff was friendly and efficient. Clean tables and rest room. A nice place for a quick, casual meal. Choose from a good variety on the menu, from hamburgers, soup to fish. We had the cod fish and chips meal, which was really excellent except the fish portions were not... 更多
This restaurant seems to be a favourite place to eat, Menu is diversified and therefore something for everyone. It is a small place with a large patio, on cool days it is hard to get a seat inside. The portions are large and the soup is great. We were not disappointed with our choices.
Really neat restaurant in Front Street. Amazing halibut and salmon. It's fish and chips style but I loved it. Stayed outside on the big patio. I recommend it 100%. Bathrooms needed a clean but that's my only complaint. Waitresses were very cool young people we talked a lot about Dawson.
The serving staff was poorly trained or inexperienced in working a busy shift. Took over 30 minutes to get our order taken. Two other staff said they would find out who our server was and let them know, but really, there are only about 20 tables in the whole place so how can you not know who serves which section?... 更多
We arrived at Sourdough Joe's and stood for awhile, watching the waitresses talk with one another before they finally noticed we were standing there. We were seated, but no one came to take our order for 15 minutes. We stopped two different women to take our order, but one said she was busing tables and couldn't help us and the... 更多
Service was ok. Food was ok. Nothing special. The seafood chowder was really thin, not quite a chowder. The seafood linguini had way too much seafood in it (not normally a problem, when done with taste). We fell that there was no care in making the food. We do not necessarily recommend.
We enjoyed good fish and chips, though the hamburgers were an excellent alternative. Nothing fancy about this plain eatery, but nice to be able to sit outside in their garden, and as elsewhere in the Yukon, a relaxed atmosphere. No rush about service or about hustling you away from the table when you've finished. Get there early for dinner, before... 更多
