Went to La Petite Peaks on the recommendation of the Anse Chastanet staff. Wonderful Blackbeards Penne Pasta! Tried to go back for a second time but it was closed. Highly recommended for a local dining experience.
Everyone we met kept telling us to eat at La Petit Peak and I am so happy we listened. The local food is amazing and the view of the Caribbean Sea is so beautiful.
This restaurant is located on the foreshore in Soufriere. Get a table by the front windows and watch the frigate birds wheeling over the rows of fishing boats lined up along the southern end of the village. The food is fresh and generous. Large restaurant right on the water. Great place to sit and chill. I think a lot of the tourist excursions stop here but we had a couple of sandwiches and they were very good. Also had some great saltfish appetizers.
We stopped here for lunch with a guided snorkel/beach trip and were pleasantly surprised. We had no clue what we were doing for lunch but this was a nice meal and enjoyable time. Came across this restaurant by chance. Takes credit cards which helped us somewhat, as we were struggling to find an ATM. Rustic feel, which was authentic. Staff were distant to start but warmed (a bit!). Food very good, but slight commercial feel (sandwiches!?).
