Truly enjoyed my experience at Casa Lola on a recent Sunday evening In April. My server, JC, was not only educated about the menu, but the history of the food and building. He was a pleasure and gracious during the entirety of my visit. Of course I ate too much based upon his recommendations, but that is not a complaint.... 更多
We went to Casa Lola per rave reviews from friends. My husband ordered the Porkchop and was very disappointed when it arrived breaded and deep-fried. He was hoping for a healthier more flavorful piece of meat and was deeply disappointed.... Especially for the price. We were on vacation and didn't want to complain, but it was not appealing to us.... 更多
Beautiful outside and inside décor. Excellent Mahi Mahi and octopus dishes. Got the mahi mahi ceviche and the plantains- delicious and fresh! Attentive staff. 2nd Visit we sat at bar and had a fun time with the bartender who was social and made great drinks. Thank you!
People eat what they want/like and i have no reason why to force people into eating same things i do. SO WHY IS THIS STAFF DOING IT TO ME... I asked what the rice had and the staff member ask me "WHY? ARE YOU A VEGAN?" I answered "Well i rather not have meat, thanks" Without me even finishing my... 更多
Call ahead for a reservation - request a lagoon view table. The food selection is very good, the portions are plenty and the taste is very good. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a good size bar area. Servers are responsive and knowledgable of the food and compliments. It is a tad pricy side, but the food is fresh... 更多
We were only in San Juan for one night and wanted an authentic meal within walking distance. Casa Lola was a pleasant surprise. We had an exceptional server, and we took her recommendations and were not disappointed. We enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly service and everything that we ate. The bonus was that it was within walking distance (one block) of... 更多
This place was worth EVERY dollar. The food was exceptional, especially the monfongo and rice/beans! I can't believe they don't have it in Illinois, I am so sad.
This is only the second review I have taken the time to write, but I thought I should because my experience wasn't like the others who have reviewed the restaurant. This restaurant was recommended by the staff at the Marriott hotel in Condado. It was a short walk from the hotel so it was convenient. My family and I were... 更多
We were looking forward to dining at this restaurant, expecting authentic Puerto Rican cuisine and the criollo cooking that the restaurant boasts. But my food was inedible. I ordered a pork dish and my companion ordered the paella. I took one bite of my dish an. I could barely swallow. It was like a large salt shaker had fallen onto... 更多
If you like rubberized red snapper this is the place to go. Red snapper sitting on a bed of canned beans with some kind of fried stuff on top. Dry, dry. Overpriced to say the least. Pork chop a foot long, don't know what cut, not much meat on it.
