This was the second time having dinner here and it definitely was a bit of a disappointment this time. The service was inattentive, the portions were tiny and the bill was astronomical considering we left hungry. Not worth the cost.
Told this was #1 restaurant in Caribbean, but wasn't best we ate at in Bonaire. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, but I don't get all the fuss. Service was adequate, food was interesting and tasty. Bartender who served us before meal was entertaining and made us some of his original cocktails. I'd go back, but I preferred... 更多
We stopped by At Sea for dinner in early May, 2015. My husband and I had reservations and were seated promptly. The restaurant is very easy to find, as it sits on the waterfront. While it is a very nice location, it definitely has its drawbacks where the noise level is concerned. Locals cruising by and motorcycle revving was a... 更多
The ambience, the service, the menus, the atmosphere.. everything is wonderful at At Sea. However, we where a bit disappointed at our dinner. It seems the chef is making too much of an effort combining big flavours and odd ingredients, serving dishes which end up being a bit chaotic.. All the different items served were great when served separately, but... 更多
According to Caribbean Journal At Sea is the best restaurant of the Caribbean area. Obviously, I cannot confirm that, but I do know that everything is great: the food, the service, the location. This is haute cuisine, but that means the price level is high as well.
In terms of a high-end international restaurant, we found this to be the best on the island. Great food and excellent service. Almost all of the seating is on the front patio, it's too bad they don't have a view that's as good as the rest of the place.
Did not have a reservation so they sat us back by the kitchen (even though many empty tables when we left). Traffic and large 18 wheelers entering road right by tables made it hard to talk. Small children running through restaurant with no supervision. My shrimp was mushy ( not sure how fried shrimp can become that way but never... 更多
I had the barracuda, drink and dessert for only $39. The view of the ocean was almost as good as the food and the service were first rate. As a New Yorker I'm use to eating in fine restaurants and At Sea ranks among the best.
Food presentation was amazing...and so was the food! If possible, one might find out what nights both cruise ship docks are being used, because we did have a lot of loud street noise with trucks heading to and from the ship. The employees seemed to be rather annoyed with this on this particular night.
My dinner At Sea was easily the best meal I ate while I was in Bonaire, and was one of the better restaurant experiences I have had anywhere in the world. We weren't able to get a reservation, but we were able to be seated immediately at the bar. The atmosphere was pleasant and laid back, and eating at the... 更多
Some might find this a bit fussy, in its 3 different preparations of each element of a meal. I love it, because I think we should all play with our food, from chef to diner. I really appreciated the fact that the chef accommodated my food sensitivities and served me delightful fresh vegetable and fish dishes. This is not the... 更多
My husband and I ate here for the first time this past week. We chose the tuna just as on the menu. It was a gorgeous display and was absolutely delicious with a combination of many flavors in the sauces and dips. We will be back!
I've been going to Bonaire for 10 years and am very glad to have visited At Sea on my most recent trip. I believe it has been open for less than 2 years. This is an open air restaurant with huge umbrellas to provide cover if it rains. We were greeted warmly on arriving with a party of 10 and... 更多
