After a tour at the market, have lunch in this small restaurant. Very good and fresh fish to eat grilled or raw (ceviche). Polynesian recipes. Great fresh fruit juices. With good wifi.

We ate here on our first night and it was a good experience. My partner ordered the soup, which was unfortunately rather small (but tasty!). I had the fish in coconut and pineapple sauce and it was really tasty! The service was rather slow though, but there was only one server in the restaurant.
It is a good place to eat with your friends, your family, I'm born and raised in easter island, and I go to Makona restaurant every month cause it's a good place to eat well, with a excellent service, and relax. if you come to easter island it is a excellent option
My husband and I had dinner at Makona our first day on Easter Island and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant is small but cozy and has a cute little outdoor seating space facing the main street. Our server was attentive and very nice and the food was delicious. Their menu is has many food options including a few... 更多
First dinner in Hanga Roa was a pleasant surprise; the tuna with sauteed vegetables was to die for, as was the lomo al pobre. Not sure how they could obtain fresh bread at around 10pm on a weeknight, but they did and it was greatly appreciated. Highly recommended
Makona came highly recommended by a local resident. Days/hours open were random but we were lucky to hit an open evening. Dining area, open air on the Main Street of Hanga Roa, was casual and comfortable. Service was good. Pisco sours were great. Food -- fresh fish -- was well prepared and very good. Seafood stew was delicious too. Enjoyed... 更多
A very little place that serves really good food... unfortunately a little expensive compared to its neighbor restaurants. The plates are very large and the drinks are pretty good.
This is a small restaurant in the main street of easter island yet is one of the best restaurants, the ceviche is one o the best, and the service is also really good.
I spent 5 nights in Hanga Roa and I think my favourite overall dining experience was the Makona. It was a warm Friday evening and I'd spent a happy hour or so watching the sunset at Tahai. I walked into town at about 8.30 and headed for the Makona as it had been recommended to me. It was pretty busy... 更多
I tried to go to Makona my first night on the island, but there was some kind of electrical problem and they were closed. I made a reservation for a couple of nights later, and the hostess(?) was very accommodating in calling another restaurant for me to make sure they had availability and calling a taxi for me. When I... 更多
