We ate outside on the terrace in the main square of this lovely hill town. Excellent pasta dishes with porcini or ragu followed by delicious home made ice cream. Mid priced, good quality.

This restaurant is one of the handful in the center of Cetona. Some tables overlook the square but on the Sunday night we went you needed a reservation for one. This place is just great to dine and have a nice wine. We stayed 4 weeks in Cetona and went to Nilo very often. It is just a great place and waiter are very kind. His food is a true Tuscan experience you can't miss! Don't forget the dolci and gelato!
We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel we stayed at. Absolutely fantastic food, great ambience, lovely staff! Must try the tomato bread soup and burrata and the aubergine zucchini flan. The portions are quite generous too. We could get to the second course though the beef sounded lovely.
Nilo and his staff were accommodating for any last many plans and table arrangements and made every effort to make everyone welcome - equally. We visited Nilo several times during our time in Cetona - both the staff and the food were fantastic! The bar is well stocked for an aperitif and the bar snacks and plentiful and delicious. Nilo (owner) makes you feel right at home. Service is a bit slow (like everywhere in Tuscany) but waiters are honest about their preferences on the menu. A bit pricey but worth it. Order pasta instead of the meat. No desert.
I had pasta with funghi, big portion, little bit too salty for me, had a veal, just ok, tender, but not enough salty & little bit dry. It's said to be one of the best in town, but I found it just OK. Not bad, but not special either.
