This is a charming place situated close to the center of Contamines. Our room was clean with a sweet view over the valley, there's a nice garden, the breakfast is rich, and kind owner even gave me a USB charger as a present.
We stayed here for a night while doing the TMB and decided to go with he half board. They served Fondue, salad and some meats.. It was fantastic. Great spread. The room was very clean, comfortable and had a good sized bathroom.
We were greeted with a warm welcome, our room was ready to go..
It's a family run hotel...
Incredibly friendly hospitality. They were most welcoming and were attentive throughout our stay. Room was very nice and clean. Hotel was very quiet. Dinner was delicious!! Fantastic place to stay. I would definitely stay here again. See morning view from room.
Wow, these people were amazing! I have never experienced such wonderful hospitality in my life. We were stranded in the off-season in Les Contamines without any accommodation available due to our late arrival time. One of the owners saw our trouble as we borrowed someone's cell phone to frantically make calls from the grocery store). She invited us to stay...
We stayed here while on the Tour du Mont Blanc. It is a comfortable and clean inn run by a lovely woman. Dinner is included in the cost of the room and is fabulous. We had. Celery soup, lamb, a potato dishwater cheese and bacon that were all delicious. The rooms are simple but very clean. We had a great...
This family run hotel is a real gem! Friendly and welcoming, clean and with one of the nicest lounges to relax in after a long day on the TMB. I can highly recommend a stay here-fabulous views and a relaxing garden to watch the mountains from. The dinner and the breakfast was superb and I highly recommend anyone to go...
Lovely, old hotel off the main street. Spacious, attractive rooms with comfortable beds and nice linens. Very spacious, attractive bathroom in the room. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Excellent, attentive service. The 2 sisters who own this hotel are absolutely delightful.
We stayed here during a 6 day run of the Tour du Mont Blanc that was organized by the outfitter Run the Wild UK. We really enjoyed our stay here! The two sisters who greeted us were quirky, friendly, and an iconic part of our trip. The rooms were comfortable, if not ver French (no standing showers) and the food...
lovely food, a receptionist looking 80 plus years young with a twinkle in her eye, clean rooms, a bar that hasn't changed since 1970 and a ping pong table in the garden - what's not to like. Oh and again great food.
The gai soleil is an amazing hotel.
The rooms were comfy and not too small. The pool was great as well as the gym. The owners work very hard to make sure that everything is spotless. Breakfast was very tasty. Easy 5 minute walk in to town centre. So Le Gai Soleil is definitely worth the visit.
