Stayed for one night. Room rate was the best around. Host was very nice. Breakfast was amazing. Very close to pub and shop. Would recommend. If you expect the Ritz (like some people seem to) for this price then you're an idiot.
Cramped and crowded accommodation with barely enough room too move
We didn't have a view of the loch and you honestly couldn't swing a cat around. It is just not true that the accommodation is next to a pub as advertised
It's quite a walk.
It's cramped and overpriced
Great location, the owners Dave and Angie were really welcoming, room was clean. Bathroom fine if a little dated, but everything was in good working order and the shower powerful and hot.
Walkers are asked to leave there boots in the entrance hall on the shoe stand which is a great idea.
You are asked to place your breakfast order...
Service was 10/10. The guy running the place seen us immediately and was very friendly and helpful. Room was cosy, amazing view from the window. Bed was comfy too. Could come back at any time which was great as it was new year. Asked for a late checkout and he was happy to accommodate! All in it was a fantastic...
Property is for sale ,the owner appears to have given up ,even the front step and entrance are not clean.Only plus, breakfast superb, also view to loch long would be fantastic if you get rid of condensation
We had room 3 & it was awful. Entering the room felt like a time warp. It was cold to the point where the bed actually felt damp. Very old single glazed window to the front didn't close properly & it was filthy! All back sludge in the corners & underneath was a radiator (never came on) which was brimming...
This accommodation was good value for money. Although the room was small, it was very comfortable and everything was ok. A very friendly welcome and a brilliant cooked breakfast. The location is excellent - on the banks of Loch Long - and we had a front room with a view across the Loch.
I know the cost was very reasonable but our experience of the room was terrible. We had an upstairs room, single glazing and very small. My husband who is under six foot could not stand to use the toilet and had to squeeze through the very small narrow door to the ensuite. The door wouldn't even open to half way...
There are very mixed reviews about this B and B and I want to offer a fair and balanced review. On the positive, the location is amazing, with stunning views from the bedroom over the loch. There was free off road parking, sky tv, good hospitality tray and the hotel is dog friendly. The host, David was friendly and welcoming....
Just the job for a short stay for The Cobbler or other hills. Warm , comfy , and great value with a superbe view of the loch and mountains and a very good breakfast . Anyone complaining about room sizes need to do a reality check on hotel/B&B prices. And the pubs are all within a 5 minute walk ....
