Had an enjoyable meal here while staying in the caravan park. Service was good and the staff friendly, meals were well priced and wood fire pizzas were also available, and seemed popular with families.
We walked to the top end of town after checking out the cafe's and we found the restaurant at Bridport Bay Inn. Delicious - seafood chowder, cauliflower soup with almonds and seafood basket. We really enjoyed our lunch here. My advise forget the cafe's and eat here.
Having stopped for the night, on a Saturday, after a long drive, we were happy to have any room. Got a family size, which was ok. Plenty of room for two, had everything we needed.
Some of the comments are a bit harsh. The place is not Bicheno.
Our room was a bit dated, the shower probably needs replaced but...
Our stay was very pleasant and the room was well presented and clean.
The biggest issue we had was when showering the water temperature would constantly change from scolding hot to freezing cold! This is something that clearly needs to be fixed.
Apart from the shower issue everything else was fine and would generally be regarded as good value.
We waited two hours for our meals. The oysters were absolutely appalling, over cooked and not fresh. If this wasn't literally the only place open for a meal, we would've left before our mains even came out because they took so bloody long. At the end of the evening when we communicated with management about our experience, they were very...
Stayed at Bridport for a few days, rang and ordered pizza, upon pickup we were told they were busy and would have to wait for our order, another 20 minutes pizza arrived
However it was stone cold dear oh dear won't be back
Have a holiday house in Bridport so been visiting the locals for years.
Bay Inn was good a couple of years ago. First visit this summer was a let down.
Booked for 7:30 on a Saturday night. Restaurant was empty when we got there. Got seated at the worst table regardless. Had to ask and almost argue with staff to...
What a great little pub and restaurant on the higher side of the town with sea views!
Very casual and relaxed close to shops and boatramp. Great for a simple get away. Really nice sitting on the deck with the sea breeze rolling in whilst enjoying an icy cold beverage. Great place to chill.
Being a regular stayer at this place over the last four years I have seen what happens when regular maintenance and thorough cleaning are not done to a reasonable standard. On arrival we stayed in the tin clad villas which were great once but not now when I slid the door open I was greeted with a musky smell I walked...
This review is of our experience eating in at the Bridport Bay Inn where two of us thoroughly enjoyed the wood fired pizza. The base was light and crusty and my black olive, pepperoni, garlic and chilli topping was delicious. Unlike conventional Italian style pizza this one had thin slices of tomato rather than a tomato sauce base but it...
