Excellent classical boutique hotel. A real bargain too at £80 bed and breakfast - special offer! I also was pleasantly surprised with dinner - terrific fine dining with a budget price - got to stay here again!
I have stayed in this house a couple of times now when visiting Newark for work. It's a lovely hotel, relatively small but it doesn't fell cramped and you don't feel like you are intruding. The hotel is slightly outside of Newark so you'd need a car to get there but I tend to stay at the hotel all evening....
my wife and I stayed at kelham house, as we were going to a wedding near by.
We stayed in the coach house adjacent to kelham house, it was spotlessly clean and very spacious.as the wedding was later on in the day, we decided to have some lunch and a drink, We only had sandwiches but the were really well...
Amazing wedding, great staff and magnificent hotel grounds! Really was the ideal wedding setting. Good was great and bar prices were high but that was what we expected. Could have done with more vegetables and more gravy with the meal. Canapés were amazing and plenty of table wine.
Very pleasant hotel, good area for access to local attractions. Rooms clean and well presented. Staff friendly and welcoming. Did find that sometimes breakfast was not always as ordered but for us this wasn't a real problem, this wasn't down to one member of waiting staff. However needing gluten free wasn't an issue and bread etc was readily available. Limited...
We stayed in this hotel as wedding guests from Kelham Hall Country Park.
Upon arrival the grounds were beautiful, if we had the chance to stay loner, we most likely would have.
The room we were allocated was not part of the manor house itself but just outside, known as the Coach House rooms. It was a spacious and very...
Lovely lunch with a group of like minded ladies.
Excellent quality and presentation with staff who could not do enough to please. A three course lunch which was very tasty and well presented.
Maybe an extra person to help in the bar on arrival but apart from that........excellent.
Fine little hotel with nice rooms (we had a room in the Coach House).
Very friendly and helpfull receptionist. Nice dinner under "room service" system.
Just two little problems: dialing 0 to reach room service gave no results (we had to dial 9 and call the hotel to have a contact). No jam on table for the breakfast (and no...
Attended a wedding here, a delightful small hotel set in lovely grounds. The care and precision used to make the day special was edvident everywhere. I didn't stay at the hotel but visited a family members room and it was well furnished, clean and very comfortable. As it is a small hotel the family booked out all the rooms which...
Good sized rooms, clean, check in is swift and friendly - this hotel has a lovely feel to it. The rooms are well equipped and the shower is really powerful which I love. All in all I enjoy my stays here, breakfast is a good quality and again service is prompt and friendly. Tons of parking. Bi have not eaten...
