We have been using this campsite for about 6 year now very basic but love it here the owners are very friendly and the lady in the shop always chatting very peaceful and lots of walks through the forest also dog friendly
We have stayed at this campsite a few times before but on our last visit we took a few 10 year old boys for a birthday camp out. (Very polite & well mannered boys) They were playing a bit of football in the joining field & the owner came out & instead of asking them to move out of the...
Four people. Two cream teas one cake and tea £13. The fourth person wanted just tea as no glutton free available and was expected to pay £3. I don't think so. Asked for an extra cup and staff were very rude and DEFENSIVE.
Cream tea with Squirty cream. YUK!!!!!!!!!
Would not advise anyone to go here! A group of us doing our silver D of E expedition, finish just outside here after walking for 7 hours about to drive 5 hours home, ask to use the toilet (which were nothing special despite the possessiveness over them - toilet paper and mud all over the floor)
and said we would...
Stumbled across the cream teas sign whilst searching for Rufus Stone. On our first visit we had the cream tea seated in the garden. The plum jam was our favourite and the price a bargain. On the second visit we had tea and huge wedges of chocolate cake seated inside. We were served by different people on each visit. All staff we...
The beauty of the New Forest cannot compensate for the very poor service and rude staff we encountered at this site. The attitude of staff was unfriendly bordering on aggressive. There are plenty of wonderful sites and facilities within this magnificent area so this is one to avoid.
Only my second review but feel the need to advise people to STAY AWAY. What a rude lady. We left without eating or drinking. The cat in the garden was the only friendly member! Since reading reviews from getting back, I'm glad we didn't encounter the husband too!
We had family over from Oz and they wanted to go for a typical english afternoon tea. Found Acres Down on net and decided to give it ago. Interesting route if going through Minstead. We took a seat and eventually an elderly lady came over and asked for our order I asked for Earl Grey tea, she said we only...
We are cyclists from Kent and visit Annie every year, we were so pleased with our welcome this year that we went to Acres Farm for a second time within a few days.
Annie was looking well and definitely on the mend. Her homemade jam was amazing.
It is always a privilege to be welcomed into her garden, and if...
Why do something if your heart is not in it? We stopped off for tea here after seeing signs from the main road. Upon arrival it looked good but as soon as we stepped in to where you place an order for the tea our opinion drastically changed. You are met by an unwelcoming plethora of drab tea cups face...
