We had a lovely stay here at the Ramblers Rest, room was very clean, comfortable bed, breakfast was outstanding. We felt like we had known the owners for years, didn't want to leave. We will definitely be coming back, thank you xxxxxx
Had a morning out in Castleton today and ended it at Ramblers Rest cafe...lovely and clean inside and just brilliant to sit outside in the sun with a pot of tea and big slice of coffee walnut cake complete with a little jug of cream...delicious :-)
The outside seating area is lovely, makes you feel like you are in a...
we called in here after going to 2 other cafes which were not good
this cafe was great food was great we had lunch there friendly staff food well presented and tasty.
it was that good we called back later in the afternoon to grab a coffee and scones
the scones were baked fresh everyday and very tasty
Robbie and Claire are great accommodating hosts, comfy beds, great rooms, great breakfast (plus use of the garden hose to wash our MTB's) in a great setting a few feet away from the main street of Castleton. This is the 2nd time we have been and will definitely return again.
We finished our walk at the Rambler's Rest to enjoy a coffee. It is such a cute little cafe with a wide selection of tea and coffees, the cakes looked delicious too.
Staff were very friendly and engaged in conversation with you about your day and what you have been up to and were also happy to make suggestions of...
3 night break.Room spotless and comfy.Spa bath an added luxury.Tasty breakfasts. Friendly hosts.Couldn't wish for more.Castleton pretty village with ample eateries.Easy access to rest of Peak district.

The bath had a shower attachment but you couldn't have a stand up shower (probably...
Although we stayed only a single night, we'll be back! We visited Castleton for my wife's birthday and were delighted with the recommendation of friends to stay at this lovely, family-run establishment with our Border Collie :) The room was great, the hospitality couldn't be beaten and as for the breakfast....divine!
Such a lovely B&B. Great location, food was fantastic and the owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. Lovely location to explore Derbyshire or as a base for walks in the Hope Valley. The room was clean and had all the facilities you'd expect.
Three of us based ourselves at the Rambler's Rest to undertake several walks around the area. Castleton is a lovely place to stay with 6 good pubs, an excellent restaurant (1530) and the Rambler's Rest as well as several shops. I booked room 5, which is a large ground floor room with an ensuite bath and shower attachment. It benefits...
