The Denmark Hotel offers everything. Accommodation is basic but very good value. The pub is great in the bar. The restaurant is top class with local fare and local wine. Sit by the open fire and enjoy.
We were too late for lunch so thought we would have a drink and bar meal, however we just had a drink as the bar and outdoor area were so grotty. Reports are that the food is great but the place needs refurbishment. Great location and friendly staff but much nicer places to eat in Denmark.
Max and the team were super helpful. My wife broke her ankle on the rocks near the Gap but Max said 'don't worry, we'll put you in a room with easier access.' This is our third stay there and it's our second home away from home. The Surf and Turf at the pub will keep you going for days. Highly...
Every year a large group of us visit Denmark for a bowling carnival and most stay here. It is in the centre of town and opposite the river. Meals are excellent and it is a real bonus being able to order off the bar menu and dine in the main restaurant. Wines by the glass are a good quality.
This hotel is quite dated but very clean and comfortable. It is situated across the road from the beautiful Denmark river and just off the main road.
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
The food in either the bar or Resturant is so tasty and a good menu to pick from.
Or just roam the street to find somewhere...
Two adults, one night stay was $60 which was better than us staying in a hostel in town in a shared accommodation. Free wifi, comfy bed, kitchenette, beauty balcony with a river view from across the street. Clean room and bathrooms. TV area. Restaurant attached to the hotel but didn't go to. Very friendly staff and would stay again.
Lack of air conditioning made our restaurant meal very uncomfortable, also there were quite a few flies buzzing around. Our meal was very ordinary, the beef madras OK, but their were no pickles or chutneys offered. Red snapper was quite good, but did not justify being the second most expensive item on the menu. Service was perfectly OK but the...
Denmark hotel serves excellent meals in their bistro/restaurant. If the bistro menu seems a bit pricy then ask for the bar menu. Much cheaper but still the quality is there. Chips and bear battered fish I recommend.
Room was clean and the location is right in the center. Very close to cafes and restaurants around. It was so much better then expected. Room also comes with amentities like fridge, hairdryer, shampoos, kettle and coffee&tea. There is even a place for smokers outside which I appreciate
Not really a motel - room only has tea/coffee making facilities. Noisy hotter system all night. No curtain on one window - so you up at 5am...Big hole in bathroom door and holes in bed head. Maintenance required. No hair dryer. Poor value for money and not a good night's rest.
