We only stayed for one night in December 2016 as we passed through Lake Placid. Average accommodation but very clean. Unfriendly staff! Felt very unwelcome.... strange considering they work in the hospitality business! We won't be returning.
Spruce Lodge has both apartments and bedrooms. We had the bedrooms.

So we stayed at the spruce lodge 3/6/15 and was greeted by the rude owner (carol). We paid for our stay and was charged an extra $111 for a guest visiting to take us around. She not around during the night time when my friend goes back. We got surprised by the $111 charge at check out.
