I had a group of about 7 people attending a wedding in the area, and we booked two dorm rooms. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The bathrooms were also nice and clean.
Booked 2xFamily Suites for my family and friends... Spacious rooms with private bathrooms and showers. James (Manager) was friendly, attentive and warm. We arrived on the hottest day of the year so were disappointed at finding no air-conditioning or even fans in the rooms or in the common area.
The service was perfect. the room and the building was very nice. the way to the shop's, restaurants etc was only 5 minutes to walk.
perfect place to stay one or more nights. the shop's and the restaurants are nice and the prices ok.
We have decided not to stay over and loose our deposit. Pictures are deceiving. We were looking for a lodge. If you are looking for back packers this is the place to be. Reminds me of a hostel.Garden needs attention.
We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge, it's in a very beautiful community and its very neat and tidy. It has everthing you need, you just bring your clothes and food. What I love about it, is the fact that it's nearby shopping places. What I did not like is the fact that it did not have a swimming...
Travelling alone through the area, the lodge was clean and had very friendly staff. I stayed in the double room on suite on the ground floor for 3 nights and i would definitely recommend paying the little extra. Accommodation in general is very expensive in Franschhock but this was perfect and affordable for my needs.
We have stayed at the Travellers Lodge twice now and found it to be user friendly and close to the town centre. James is a gem, he will help with anything if he can from carrying bags to finding out if museums are open. We always meet interesting people there; this time visitors from Norway and a seniors tour of...
Staff were very friendly and an interesting old dormitory building. However this is more of a backpackers lodge than a family stay. The pricing was high considering the facilities. For R100 pp more we could have stayed in a very nice B&B. The beds were sunk in, worn but clean duvets. However having a grey (I call them dog blankets...
Our stay at the Traveller's lodge during a local conference suited our needs very well. Besides the noise overhead through the wooden floors, it was quiet and all was clean. The staff are super helpful and friendly! Thanks, Errol and James
