We stayed in a room on the second floor of the main building which was fine but did not have enough light to read by once it was dark. The common room downstairs was more conducive for reading and getting comfortable. The breakfast was incredible, poached eggs, apple waffles, perfectly ripe melon served buffet style.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable; our bathroom was almost the size of a bedroom in some b&b's. The location is perfect if -- like us -- you want to canoe and hike: it's between Squam Lake (so interesting it's easy to get lost) and the White Mountains. Friendly and helpful staff, including Sam the dog, and great breakfasts.
This inn is in a quiet beautiful setting on 6 acres of land. The grounds and gardens were beautiful and I enjoyed walking in them. Suzi and her staff are amazing! Our growing extended family took over the Mountain Fare for a reunion after a family wedding. Not only is the place wonderful, but the staff couldn't be more gracious! It's been a great week.
