We stayed in the tree house for 3 days and it was very comfortable. Lots of possums at night. Had everything we needed for a warm and comfortable stay. Owner/manager was lovely. Thanks for a great stay.
We found this a good location for doing the Stanley and West coast area. The owners were nice and helpful, and the sites private. Enjoyed our 3 nights here, amenities were adequate, as was mid week , but would be tight in the busy season. Enjoyable location for the start of our camper/holiday.
We went there mid February..and it was everything..I said..if we could see what we want to.see of Tassie from here..Great..But we could not..It was the best place we stopped in for that area..Friendly..old type of parks..with trees between sites..friendly service..at that time of year no problem re toilets/showers etc..one felt private in your site..and any shopping was a great little...
We had a large group that stayed in one 2 bedroom room and the tree house (9 adults, 1 child and 2 infants). There was ample room to all be able to hang out in the tree house, either on the deck or in the living area. The rooms and bathrooms are clean.
I think you'd definitely need a car...
Great spot relaxing and right beside creek and short walk to beach. The only downfall is the lack of ammenities for such a large facility. Two showers each for male and female as well as only three toilets each. Okay on times when not a lot of people in but peak times not nearly enough to cater for the amount...
If you want friendly staff, an enchanting place to park your caravan in its own large space, surrounded by trees, sounds of nature, and have the ocean a few metres away, this would be the place to go. We loved it. The peace and tranquility did our souls good!
We stayed in the Spa cabin (not treetop) for our wedding anniversary, we have stayed here before in the campground. It is a nice park, with a river/beach for swimming/kayaking and a short bushwalk to a little waterfall. The cabin was nice and had a rustic feel, great for an overnight or weekend getaway.
We loved staying here. It's a very well run campsite and really nice owners. My only negative is the hundreds of caterpillars that were on our tent, on our clothers and making cocoons on everything at camp! They did spoil our visit unfortunately because everything else was lovely!
We had a powered site for 5 days.
It was the end of January School Holidays so the park was busy and a little overcrowded.
Loved the fireplaces in the camp kitchen.
No rules seems to apply and some visitors were doing what ever they wanted, with no regards what so ever to others. This was a bit disappointing as...
Crayfish Creek is one of those spots that you could drive past and not know what you've missed. Situated on the highway heading West toward Stanley, it's about an hour and a half from Devonport and only thirty minuets from Stanley. There are powered and unpowered sites, along with Cabins and the Tree House Cabin.
If you want some privacy...
