We visit my mom in Big Bear every Christmas, and look for a place to stay each year that isn't her house with all the other relatives. This was our 2nd year of staying elsewhere, and we still haven't found what we're looking for, to quote U2.
Noon Lodge is what most of the other reviews say. We stayed in Cabin #2, across from the lobby. It's very small, with just enough room for the queen bed, a bench, 2 chairs and a small table. It was fine for our needs, but would have been cramped if we'd spent any time in the room. There is a TV, although we never turned it on. Decor is nicely done with rustic charm, including a wool army blanket on the bed.
It is advertised with fireplaces, but our unit had a wall heater, which worked fine to warm up the room. The water was hot and the pressure good, although the height of the shower is very low, and with a black shower curtain, it was also very dark.
