We stopped for a bite to eat on a long road trip. The food was very enjoyable and there are plenty of comfy spots to sit, including a lovely snug at the front. There menu had lots of items with a good variety. Aw
Stayed there with my wife for two nights while on business in Galway. Great location /close to Galway 17mins by car. Great friendly atmosphere. Very rare commodity in modern Ireland. Room was perfect and quiet. Food was very good and good value. Thank you to all the Staff for making our stay a joy. Will be back. John
Great location on the Galway / Mayo border. Easy access to lakes and mountains. Only 20 minutes to Galway city. The scenic drives around the lakes are breathtaking. Ideal spot to unwind in a casual, relaxed and friendly environment. Great staff and Breakfast "to die for".
Hotel ok, but needs some improvements like a decent tv, have not seen one of those huge old tv's in a bedroom for years. Bar very busy, food good.stayed two nights visiting family. People doing breakfast could smile a bit more
My brother and I booked into the Anglers' Rest for a couple of nights in May.

It has to be the cleanest small hotel in Ireland . Warm Rooms excelent Breakfast and a Lively Bar smack in the Town of Headford. Arrive park the Car and Relax. 5 Pubs within walking distance that we found . Oh did i mention the Staff? Courteous indeed yes .
Arrived late at night, so tired that I read "The Angels' Rest". It was it anyway. Lovely atmosphere, the best Guinnes I have ever tasted, lovely food and welcoming staff. The place is a bit tired, but in the whole is a place I will go back to.
While providing the event photography over two days at 'The Angler's Rest Hotel', could not have asked for a better venue, with efficient and very helpful staff to say the least. Would welcome the opportunity to return on business or pleasure.

This hotel in the middle of Headford is a traditional Irish country one, not the smooth and polish of upmarket establishments but an honest down to earth hotel with friendly staff and a...
Service is good. Nice atmosphere. Food is excellent for a good price. House wine is nice, but comparing with all other drink's prices - could be sold at a bit cheaper price. Like the old fashioned decor. Place is clean. Friendly, fast service.
