We extended our stay to venice and booked 2 nights normal standard room and 4 night canal view room. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and unfortunately we were put in an extremely noisy room(we are pretty ok with some noise). It sounded as of we were above a bar which didn't close until early hours. This was the only downfall....
Just returned from a three-night stay at Hotel Antico Doge. The hotel was beautiful- spotlessly clean and gorgeous surroundings.
We stayed in room 116 and it was large enough with a lovely bathroom, a double bed and two single beds for our children.

Excellent location- most days, we found ourselves popping in mid afternoon before heading our again. Staff were lovel, all very smiley and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The breakfast staff were particularly impressive. Room was in the Venetian style and very comfortable, if a bit hot. For the money, we couldn't fault it.
