During a recent trip to Coniston we enjoyed evening meals twice at the Crown Hotel. We received very good service, from attentive and friendly staff and excellent food which was perfectly cooked and well presented. Definitely well worth a visit.
After a fantastic Sunday roast meal at the Crown last year my wife and I decided to return as we were in the area again and had been pleased with the level of service and quality off food we had been given in 2015......Apon arrival there was no greeting from bar staff who seemed very in experienced with what was...
We are just back from a 3 night weekend stay. The Inn was everything we expected. Clean, tidy and the staff helpful and polite. We took the dog and they all made a fuss of her. A rogue sausage also made it way to her somehow as well. Very dog friendly. Dogs are allowed in the bar but not in...
The pub has a separate restaurant and a bar area where dogs are allowed. The food took quite a while to arrive and was ok for pub grub. Unfortunately my meal was poor however they took it off the final bill which was appreciated. Staff were very busy but were polite and helpful.
Just stayed two nights at the Crown Inn in Coniston. We like to go on short breaks in the Lakes and take our dog Dexter, he is a Portuguese Water Dog and he loves the long walks and getting wet! The Crown is one of the most dog friendly places that we have stayed, and we were made to feel...
Doesn't get much better.. The steak & ale pie was awesome. Top drawer. No waste - all well braised beef, deep filled piece of pie. Veg well cooked with chips and the right amount of good flavoured gravy served piping hot. You know you've had a meal when you've had that! Have eaten there over the last couple of days...
We've eaten here a few times now, whenever we've stayed at the nearby Coniston Water Caravan Club Site (also amazing!) the food here is absolutely delicious, staff are lovely and would definitely recommend to anyone

We didn't initially intend to stay at the Crown Inn - or Coniston for that matter - but when our original accommodation wasn't available, this place came to the rescue.
The Crown is quite a large, traditional pub/restaurant/hotel. The bar area is well furnished and decorated. There is a separate restaurant which doubles as the breakfast room. Accommodation is on...
