I stayed 1 night, and got upgraded to a huge twin room when I had booked a single. The decor is dated, but it is clean and everything works. The breakfast was not huge, but it was easily enough and cooked well. I enjoyed my stay overall.
Booked for a valentines night for me and my partner, I couldn't praise it enough, I've never seen a B&B so clean. The landlady was very warm and welcoming but also then left us to our stay, we had a great day out in Chester which is just one bus stop away. We would defiantly come back and totally recommend...
Was visiting some aged relatives in the nearby estate and they kindly let me stay even though they don't generally open at this time - so kind. Lovely big room with everything you could want - warm and cosy. Terrific full English breakfast the next morning. Sophia was very helpful even ordering a taxi for me.
My friend and I stayed here on 12 th Dec , we got a lovely warm welcome , the room was very clean and tidy ,a lot of little touches in the room ,breakfast was very enjoyable choice of cereal and juice and toast and tea or coffee , then the cooked breakfast was cooked fresh it was lovely ,...
My wife and I visited Chester for the first time on the 16 Oct for three nights and chose Green Gables Guest House after reading previous reviews. It's a great location for visiting the town centre as it takes 15-20 to walk, thanks to the good weather this was not a problem for us. Our room was on the front...

The place itself is quite dated and needs a bit of investment to bring it up to scratch. I was charged the same occupancy rate as a couple. Fair enough, BUT.......
We contacted the owner re availability, explaining that it was for a family celebration, located in her neighborhood. She replied that there was a room available but that she would need credit card info emailed to secure the room. Since we did not want to submit card info by email we made a booking via the secure site Laterooms (...
