This is a good place to come for inexpensive good Italian food. The service is good and it is very family friendly. There,is a good park opposite.
It can get busy however so you may need,to book.
The portions are reasonable too.
4 of us stayed for one night on a cycling weekend.
A real family pub, passed down the generations, now grandma runs the B&B accommodation and grand-daughter the bar and restaurant with her fantastic chef.
An unbeleivable find in the middle of nowhere!
Food absolutely excellent. Bedrooms comfortable.
Many thanks for looking after us so well.
I'd strongly recommend this...
If you're ever enroute to the beautiful North East Coast do pop into this fantastic pub for food at the 'Sambuca' Restaurant. The decor inside is quirky and fun - not what you'd expect from the outside. The menu is extensive and there is a specials board. All meals are reasonably priced and delicious - generous portions too! The staff...
We were staying at a cottage not too far from the Blue Bell inn and on our last night we fancied making the most of the weather and having a bit of a picnic on the local beach. We popped in to the Blue Bell and asked if they could do food to take out even though it is a...
The Blue Bell was in walking distance of the holiday cottage we were staying in. Had a really gorgeous Italian meal and the Blue Bell was a lovely country Inn. We all enjoyed our food and would definitely go again and recommend it.
A friendly welcome to a nice pub hotel. Room was good - newly decorated, fresh and comfortable. A great location for the Northumberland coast and walks along a beautiful beach. The restaurant Sambuca downstairs provided a top quality evening meal.
Had a lovely stay at this pub during a weekend break. It only had a small number of bedrooms so felt very select. For a small place the room was surprisingly open, airy and very clean - the sheets had a satisfyingly fresh smell! It felt like home from home. We ate in the Italian restaurant downstairs and the food...
Very basic and overpriced, all things considered. The decor and furniture was a throw back to the 70's and without vintage charm. Service was rushed with only perfunctory friendliness! Breakfast no later than 8.45 (on a Sunday)..... not very hospitable and made us feel rushed! On the plus side, very clean.
Seeing that the weather forecast was good for the weekend, we decided to book Saturday night for a weekend in Northumberland. The Blue Bell Inn is about 1km from Embleton Bay and the fantastic huge beach there, with Dunstanburgh Castle on the south end of the bay. The B and B is above Sambuca an Italian themed Restaurant, but there...
Have just returned from a three-night stay with my wife at The Blue Bell.
We had a family room with en-suite shower/WC and a very comfortable bed.
Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day each time.
The lady who runs the B&B appears to do it more or less on her own, from cooking breakfast through to...
