Good location, quiet, cozy and well appointed rooms in a B&B along the picturesque Tyne. Near the Black Bull Pub for great food. Quiet rooms. Mrs Brown is a great hostess. Great breakfast. Our room had a large private bath
We stayed at this B&B in August. The owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful making sure we had everything we needed and offered to book our evening meal, which ensured we got the eat at the very popular restaurant nearby which we had been looking forward to trying. The B&B has been beautifully restored after flood damage and the...
The room was comfortable with a large bathroom and a view of the fields across the road. Mrs. Brown was very helpful, even printing off maps for me on my walk from Corbridge up to the Wall. Breakfast was vast, even though I opted for not having the cooked breakfast (but if you are walking several miles, I encourage it!)....
Mrs Brown greeted us at the door with big smiles, although we arrived quite late in the evening. We were in a hurry to get to our dinner reservation, so after getting us settled in our room, she insisted on driving us to the restaurant. She was generous in her advice and help. We had a delicious breakfast before heading...
The Fellcroft is a warm and inviting place to stay. Good food, restful sleep and excellent recommendations about the surrounding area.
Breakfast starts with a selection of cereals; muesli to corn flakes; strawberries and blueberries; and yogurt. They will also make you the usual English breakfast; ham/sausages and eggs, all locally produced. In my case it was black pudding and...
Mrs. Brown is a warm and welcoming hostess, eager to provide any assistance and advice you need. She also has a wonderful sense of humor. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast offered anything we could ask for, from full English breakfast to "healthier" fruit, cereal, and yogurt if desired. For dinner we walked 15 minutes to The Blue Bell,...
Very comfortable well thought through accommodation
free use of sitting room with exceptionally comfortable furniture with lovely bowl of fruit.
(Most welcome touches after lots of walking and many nights of B&Bs)
Excellent breakfast and lovely warm welcome from Tove
At the end of a rigous walk of Hadrian's Wall we were greeted by the warmest smile and the most thoughtfully "fitted up" room. The breakfast the next morning was scrumptious making us regretful of our departure.
Will include Corbridge on any trip back to Northern England just to stay at Fellcroft!
Tove has just re-opened after Storm Desmond in December 2015 caused severe flooding. All the downstairs has had to be refurbished and it's lovely. We stayed in the twin en-suite room which was great, Tove leaves proper milk (not those awful UHT sachets), a nail file and other little extras. Breakfast was delicious, we chose full English both mornings, and...
Warm welcome, even though I arrived early. My room had many special and thoughtful touches. Excellent recommendation for dinner and things to see in local area. I come from a Hotel and Catering background and the breakfast was second-to-none. A 4 star hotel could not do better. Thank-you for a fantastic stay at the start of my mammoth Hadrian's Wall...
