This museum had lots of early medical tools and information about the baths here. It was interesting, but some may want to skip it if they've seen too many museums. It's definitely worth a look.
A short 2 hour drive from Athens, it was a lovely day-out. Kids were very impressed with the acoustics of the stadium, when I sent them to the top seats and dropped a coin which they clearly heard. We really liked the museum, its small but impressive. Very enjoyable and visit highly recommended.
This museum rounds off the sanctuary very nicely. It contains a lot of the main finds from the site itself and everything is well signposted in various languages for people to read. It is very simple to walk though and while small it is well worth the visit
Maybe we were tired from too many other sites. The museum has a few nice items, but most of the good stuff was taking off to Athens, like everything else. There is a water fountain outside the museum.
After seeing several museums across Greece, this was the smallest of all but had some artifacts of the Epidaurus site. Most of this site (except the theater and stadium) are unrecognizable and there are not that many artifacts as in many of the other sites.
I could not understand what the guards was saying, but they do not want you to "pose" in front of the artifacts. You can take photos, but not with a person in the picture - so be forewarned. This museum, although small, is chock full of interesting items from the Epidaurus site - well worth a visit and is included... 更多
The theater which we all know about was only a part of the healing center which was ancient Epidaurus. Here was the home of the cult of the god Asclepios, the healer. The museum is built in a recreation of the building that housed the patients who made their way from around Greece for healing. You'll see several miniature reconstructions... 更多
Amazingly well preserved statues and other relics. The museum isn't necessarily the best curated place in the world, but if you come to the site, you've got to go in and see the treasures.
