We did the wagon tour in September with friends from around the world and it was amazing. Learned lots about ranching history in Alberta and even had cowboy coffee[campfire] Worl guests were amazed. Would recommend highly
This is a wonderful place to stop and learn. Got a wonderful introduction to Percheron horses. The old cowboy who gave us the info was outstanding. Great gift shop, clean restrooms. Nice little cafe. Now I know how the west was tamed. Very friendly staff.
I saw the Bar U advertised a lot of places and felt it must be a "must stop" location. Frankly, was a bit disappointing and still don't quite get what all the fuss is about. They have a gift shop which is way over priced (IMO). There is some historical significance here which is o.k. to read about (photos in... 更多
The Ranch is full of interesting history and links to UK and Europe. The information boards aren't too onerous and there are a lot of actual bits to the Ranch to see, including the cookhouse (where you can sample what they are making!), A horse and cart ride with excellent information and the round-up where you can have tea or... 更多
Great place to learn about Alberta Ranch. Learned a lot of neat facts sitting around a campfire drinking hot campfire coffee. The man driving the horses and the lady at the campfire were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable as were all the staff with the exception of the metal workers ( older man and women) in the horse shoe fitting building... 更多
My wife and I visited the Bar U after hearing about it from our daughter. We drove down from Calgary and we really enjoyed the experience. There are some wonderful and very authentic people working the ranch and have a wealth of knowledge about the ranch, its history and its place in Alberta's and Canada's development. Very enjoyable.
This is an excellent historic ranch that takes you back in time to she how cowboys lived their life. Really a cool place with great restoration of times past. Lots to see and do, wagon rides with Perchon horses, cowboy coffee, tea and cowboy cookies and friendly staff.
