Rostov is one of Russia's oldest city. The Kremlin is a must see, there is so much to see inside. Visited the churches, museum. There are bell towers and it was lovely to hear the bells. Very few visitors, great photo opportunities. You are surrounded by so much history. Great Restaurant. As a group, we ordered our lunch on arrival... 更多
The Rostov Kremlin really is an amazing place to visit. Every corner reveals views that are a photographer's dream. An a capella performance in one of the churches and the beautiful bells were an added bonus. There were one or two minor niggles, however, though not enough to spoil our visit. Why do you have to buy separate tickets for... 更多
If you are interested in early Russian religious art, run to this museum. It has a rare collection of 15th and 16th century icons from the Golden Age of Russian icon painting. While no Rublev or Theofanes the Greek to be found here, an excellent set of icons is displayed which can be absorbed at peace and quiet. Not many... 更多
Just the visit to the Rostov Kremlin will make worth the trip to Rostov. It has been recently thoroughly restored. I had a chance to visit several churches inside with beautiful frescoes, walk on the walls on the Kremlin and watch the video about the tornado that hit the Kremlin in 1953.
there is something very cozy and peaceful about this Kremlin. It also has a good restaurant and a couple of nice attractions like a bell tower and a small museum on icon making. What makes it even more interesting, is its history of natural disaster. Well worth the day trip!
Unremarkable visit to Rostov and its Kremlin. The Kremlin has a number of churches, cathedrals and museums to visit. An amazing view from the bell tower, do not miss it. It's a pity that some of the places are in bad need of restoration.
On a great day Rostov Kremlin is just beautiful. The must thing to do is to climb its tower and enjoy great view to the city and to the lake from it. For that you need to buy the separate ticket at the ticket office
Family of 4 from USA. Rostov recommended by Fodor's & Tripadvisor touts as a chance to visit a historic Russian fairy tale village and stay overnight in a Kremlin. We saw a tired run down kremlin (fort) and 4 churches in desperate need of restoration. The 3 hour train ride was very comfortable, but the scenery was bleak. Rostov town... 更多
