Went with the ramblers, what a lovely place the views are faboulous, it nearly killed me getting up there, I was struggling with the first bit i and ended up with sunburn as it was a very warm march day, it is well worth doing for the views alone.
Really enjoyed the walk here. Depending on where you start it can be quite awkward. Upper Booth has a very limited car park, approximately 15 - 20 cars on side of road. Just getting back into walking, and climbed this 1 1/2 hours into my walk. Despite the bad weather that followed, managed to get up in good time, throw on some waterproofs, and enjoy lunch while we watch the mist set in over Mam Tor as we tried to decide whether it was safe to continue. I'm sure it's even nicer... 更多
After walking for 7 hours i started my descent down this man-made rocky path to my horror. I am a mountain walker coming from Switzerland, but this was extraordinarily terrible. The hit to the knees on every step rendered me nearly crippled once at the bottom. Not the best thing for anyone at all. My vote would be to leave... 更多
Going up was much easier than coming down, oh my knees!! The path is superbly laid out though, and I felt safe. Don't know if I'd have enjoyed it as much if it was busier and there were people at the front and back of you, it's a path to take St your own pace.
