Very relaxing with abundant bird live and various small game species. The hiking trails are well demarcated and easy to walk on. It is so sad that the floodplain has dried up. We would however return again and again. It is obvious that the management and staff really care about their Reserve - it shows everywhere, from the time you enter reception to the road network, the bird hide, the restaurant and the chalets. On arrival at the main gate "reception" we were well received by friendly staff. I was pleasantly surprised. We were given the keys to our chalet as well as a emergency lamp for in case the electricity goes down. We stayed in Ducks Den no 3 and the chalets are well equipped with NO TV that was the best thing... 更多
I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and facilities of the reserve. Sadly many public reserves are neglected and is a poor state. Even though I didn't experience it after the rains, it was a lovely outing. Spoonbill restaurant on site is a bit expensive. They should think of offering tea and scones to attract day visitors.
the look out points had been burnt down 2 years ago and now there is only one left. Told that they would be rebuilt - wonder when! Upkeep seems minimal - very sad since this should be a top birding area
