A scenic park in the city; many trees are labeled with Japanese and with English names. Bring binoculars to spot birds. Woodpeckers are there but I was unable to see them to identify. There is also a small amusement park for kids, and a cafe, and a gift shop.
Loved walking in this park amongst big old trees. Quite a big pond although this season waters low. Interesting rock formations. Wooden house in park, old imperial holiday house. Has mini zoo.. some interesting food stalls, huge chrysanthemums!
This park is beatiful, we were there in the begining of November and it was almost empty, while parks in Tokyo and Kyoto were very crowded. Beatiful house in the centre of park, guide only in japanesee, so it's good to have some japaneese friend to translate as we did :)
This a a wonderfull park in the middle of Mishima. Here you can enjoy the silence of nature with a large pond. there is a museum, some childern entertainment and a restaurant on the entrance near station, the main entrance brings you to the quiet part.
