A visit to Kefalonia isn't complete without a visit here, when I went, we were punted around by a Greek guy singing. This is a very magical place, somewhere you don't come across every day. One of many 'must see places!'
This is a must to see. The blue colour of the water is amazing. The boatmen are great, very helpful but of course expect a tip. The restaurant there is nice sitting by the pool with a drink. Better to go to Sami for a meal.
What a wonderful experience my guests had when we visited Melisani Cave and lake. A bit more geared up for the tourist industry these days, which is understandable considering the amount of coaches and cars which visit this memorable place each day. My title says it all. An underground lake that offers unsurpassed beauty. The short trip with the little boat will remain fresh in your memory for ever.
I have been both when it was crowded and when it was quiet. There was no comparison. The best time to see the cave is in the morning as the light is brighter and the colours more vibrant. It is not a pleasure being herded along as part of a big tour - felt rather cheated on the row boat... 更多

A mysterious cave that many myths lie behind it. Some people say that if you throw a coin and make a wish it will come true, never tested it myself, I like to leave options available to explore some other time maybe.
Visited this on our way to antisamos beach as it is just outside Sami. It was pretty empty when we went but as we left a huge bus party came, so luck of the draw I guess. The staff who man the boats were really friendly and let my two daughters row the boats for a while which they lovely.... 更多
