Really nice pier at the foot of the cliffs.
It is spoiled by a tacky amusement arcade at the entrance but if you have small children you can steer them round the side of it so they will not know it is there.
Once on the pier it is a short stroll to end where you can enjoy great views...
Apart from the games arcade there is nothing on the pier, but it was nice to take a walk in the sun and see the local fishermen training their grandchildren in their art. Views of the coast were great.
This was one of our stops on our road trip up North.
Such stunning views from the pier looking over to the cliffs.
There is an old seaside feeling to this place and there's even an old funicular railway lift up to the town from the pier.
Loved this stop off:)
Never been to Saltburn before and it's certainly not as big or has as much to do as some of the other resorts but the beach is lovely and the pier is a nice attraction, the area feels safe for children and dogs welcome on parts of beach, we enjoyed it and look forward to returning
The pier has a small arcade but we bypassed that and walked the length of the pier taking in the sea air and admiring the views. We were lucky with the weather and spent a while relaxing watching the fishermen. The beach looked very clean.
