Although the weather was quite cloudy, I still really enjoyed walking around the pier. I love the design of the pier so much! There was a primary school trip or an event something as I saw many little friends wearing school uniform and played around on the beach. They all looked lovely :)
It was cold, wet and blowing a gale - not something to expect at the end of June. The pier is lovely and well looked after - we had it almost to ourselves and the beach is enormous. There is a lift which cuts out a lot of walking to the town and station, a decent fish restaurant (didn't go... 更多
Somewhat out of season when I went with my wife to view and walk the pier. Because of the time of year not a lot going on in truth but still a pleasant stroll along a traditional Victorian style structure with marvellous views.
Restored Victorian pier in the town of Saltburn. If you're lucky there will be some knitted characters sewn along the handrails, which would have been carried out in the dead of night by a band of guerrilla knitters.
The well kept pier affords beautiful sea and cliff views, as well as views of Victorian Saltburn. Fun just to walk along it and watch the other people go by.
Some people really care for this small pier and have decorated the railings with some lovely Lewis Carroll themed characters. Last year's theme was the Tour de France in Yorkshire. Usual tatty machine bit at the start and it is a shame that the paddle steamers are not running to Bridlington anymore!
This is a lovely example of a clean and well-looked after piece of British heritage. It was a windy day when we went so our walk was bracing to say the least, but it was a pleasure being out there with the fishermen and others just enjoying being there. We loved the knitted figures attached to the railings on one... 更多
What can I say about our pier other than its such a big part of our area , it's loved by everyone old and young and the fishermen use the end a lot. It's very well maintained and when you get to the end and turn round u get a great view of the beautiful town and realise why it's... 更多
Took a walk along the pier with family, fresh sea air and fantastic views, well worth a visit. When we were there pier was knitted up to Alice in wonderland theme, tide was on the turn so a wander down the beach afterwards
A must visit after dark when it is all lit up FANTASTIC Reflections on the sea is brilliant A nice walk to the end and watch the local fishermen reeling in their catch Not forgetting the knitted items on display on the railings Very good and comical.
Very pleasant walk on a warm summers day. The views along the lovely beaches in both directions is spectacular, and great view of the Victorian cliff car, slowly making its way up and down the cliffs. This repaired Pier is not as long as the original but certainly worth the walk.
The pier at Saltburn is the most northerly surviving British pier At the entrance to the pier there is an Arcade with plenty of machines for the children and Adults to enjoy. From either side of the pier you can watch the Surfers. Lovely sandy beach with some restaurants and take away chippy near by. Also the Ship Inn which... 更多
We spent a peaceful hour or two on the pier sat watching the waves coming in and the horse riding an the beach. The Pier is quiet as no fish and chip stalls or ice cream sellers just nothing but PEACE. Absolute heaven, can we bottle it. The slot machine area is at the beginning of the pier and you... 更多
I've seen a few of Britain's piers and I have to say that Saltburn pier is by far the cleanest and best maintained. The view out to sea is as breath-taking as the surrounding hills. I really enjoyed reading about the history of the pier and could sit and watch people kayaking all day. The fresh, healing salt air in... 更多
