Since my husband and I were out in the area with the kids I thought it might be fun to see what the big duck is. All it really is a big duck on the side of the road that stands about 20 feet high. According to the woman in the big duck it was once a poultry farm and... 更多
This is the one, the only Big Duck. I have lived on Long Island for 59 years. I have some very fond memories for visiting the Big Duck when it was the store at the duck farm and we went to buy, you guessed it, ducks. Over the years it has moved multiple times, but each time there is a... 更多
Classic American road trip tourist stop. There is a small gift shop at the site, but it wasn't open when I stopped. There is a small open area for a quick break if you've been traveling with kids and/or pets. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
Living on Long Island my entire life, I have never actually visited the big duck...until now. It's honestly a big duck. My husband and I stopped here on a "coffee trail" we created/followed on our way out to Montauk. The parking for it is a gravel lot and you can enter the big duck either from the front or back.... 更多
Yes it is what it is, A big Duck. I drove past this thing a million times in my lifetime and stopped here a few times for fun. Love this place as a child and it is still amazing today. well preserved and well maintained and history will keep this place going. People outside of Long Island know about this... 更多

Great roadside restrooms. But as advertised, it... 更多
Yes it's a big duck. And yes, it has a gift shop inside as well as tourism info. But the best part are the clean bathrooms, with a changing table (also clean!) on the women's bathroom. Too bad they don't have one in the men's bathroom.
I remember the Big Duck very well. As a kid we had a house in Calverton. Every once in a while my dad had to go to Flanders Rd for something and we always passed the Duck. When we went to the drive-in we passed the Duck. Years later the Duck was moved. I then saw it was back in... 更多
I've lived on Long Island for 15+ years and I've always wanted to go see this duck. Finally made it there yesterday on our way back from Riverhead. It you're into these cute roadside attractions like me, then you must stop by there. So adorable. After we took a million pictures outside, we went into the gift shop inside the... 更多
