Don't be put off by the entry to this superb museum. There is a lift or stairs from inside the shopping centre. Once you are up in the museum you will be amazed as to what you can see. There is a superb exhibition of machinery from the time of the industrial revolution... a real spinning jenny, so huge you... 更多
This free museum is sited in one of the old woollen mills in town. Great place to display the comprehensive range of machinery used to process wool. From sheep to shop! Short videos near the machines showing them in operation. Other exhibits include school items, milk products, war information, Queen Victoria and lots, lots more. For children a mouse hunt... 更多
We visited it for the first time a week or so ago. Friendly volunteer staff and interesting stuff from centuries ago to take in, especially for children. See how mill workers coped with all the machinery-some of it positively dangerous when in operation (centuries ago) I would imagine. Live and learn. Excellent!

There are also exhibits showing the location of the Castle, Trowbridge's connection with Henry de Bohun (one of the Magna Carta barons), the war time manufacture of Spitfire aeroplanes, and various collections of items from the shops and other businesses that were once... 更多
