The force of nature is outstanding at this place, beautiful, stunning. Nature at its best. We stopped on our way to visit castle Menzies there is a sign which says rumbling bridge. Car park just off the road then a minutes walk to the river. If your out this way it's not to be missed.
We had a wonderful autumnal morning at The Hermitage. We were so fortunate that the sun was shining and it had rained a lot in previous days. The longer walk was closed for safety, but the 500m walk to the bridge was delightful, and picturesque The area is popular with dog owners, plenty of wagging tails when i visited.
If you want a good tranquil walk visit the hermitage for a trail alongside the river braan spectacular waterfall a reward for your walk a folly is built overlooking the falls if you want to see it at its spectacular best visit in winter when water levels are high

Was recommended as an after dinner walk when eating at the Fonab in Pitlochry. Was a 10 min drive, but well worth it! A 10 out of 10! The trees, the path and the falls are all stunning! Not a far or demanding walk from the car park, and empty for tourists at 8pm.
Such a beautiful place; would highly recommend! The walk from the car park is about 10 minutes so make sure you have 'sensible' shoes. the views from the bridge are glorious.
