The museum is quite small and and has several stair cases. Some of these are tight spiral staircases. This means it is unsuitable if you are disabled or in a wheel chair. This place is a little treasure to the Isle of Sheppey. So much History, helpfull volunteers, full of information. So much to see , you will need a second visit.
I thoroughly enjoyed our visit, my mum loved it because there were gas masks etc and memories from her childhood. My 9 year old granddaughter loved it too especially with mum educating her as we went along. The views from the roof were great
Roger & his helpers certainly know their history, went last year on a visit 'back home' could have spent far more time there but did managed to look around the Gatehouse & climb the spiral staircase which leads onto the roof.
