The museums exhibits works of the German painter and sculptor Max Ernst. He is categorized as a surrealist. The museum has a permanent exposition explaining his life and the evolution of his work during the years he lived. Next to that the museum also has a great amount of temporary exhibitions which attracts the greater crowd. Like present exhibition regarding... 更多
I have been round this museum before. To be honest I don't rate Max Ernst that much, but my friends wanted to see the M. C. Escher exhibition which is on just now, so we went round that. It was very interesting to see the exhibits. He was clearly a very talented person. Some of the optical illusions in his... 更多
The Max Ernst Museum is now running an M.C. Escher Exhibition. The building is nice and rooms are very spacious. Ther is a nice Museum Cafe and the Museum shop is nice as well.
When we drove to the museum, we parked in between the Palace and train station in their parking lot. The sign a mile or so up the road said there were zero parking spots available but when we got there they had plenty. The line was long on the outside of the Max Ernst Museum. They were letting people in... 更多
I wasn't planning on going to this museum when I was in Bruhl (I often skip art museums), but when I saw the sign about the Tim Burton, I was intrigued. It was a great exhibit, and even without that exhibit it was a nice museum. Recommend visiting if in Bruhl.
Interesting museum, but I was there for "The Life of Tim Burton". This was an interesting exhibition, but I'm glad I don't have his dreams!
I visited since Tim Burton's expo was there and also I had the idea this museum was better. It was just ok, only if you are a real lover of Max Ernst is worth it. The lobby smells funny, toilets are just ok, is not very big as it looks from outside. Coffee shop is excellent!
I really enjoyed my visit here. The museum itself has been designed with care and skill and is a joy to be in. The works themselves are superb. The pieces cover all aspects of the career of ME and though far from comprehensive are sufficient to give a recall seance of his progression as an artist and show the sorts... 更多
The Museum is an interesting piece of architecture in itself which I found eye catching and stylish. Light and airy and very well presented the "SurReal" exhibition is a delight to observe and enjoy. Sculptures and art stand side by side to capture your eye and provide interesting talking points. No photos are allowed to be taken of course, but... 更多
