A very interesting Museum that would be even better if there were English translations of captions. The exhibits are grouped in similar items, cars, household equipment, workshops etc. and there is much to see. Sadly, not being fluent in German was a problem at this museum. Having said that it was an excellent experience with the exhibits on 4 floors of an office block. It had much of the styles and designs of 50s & 60s England. As I could find little date information, it was difficult to relate what I was looking at... 更多
Our kids like this museum till today. They were happy to see how DDR people lived at that time. They would like to recommend this museum to their classmates. The ticket price was 28€ for 2 adults and 2 kids. Oh... 2€ Was for my camera (for taking picture). Making video is not allowed. Ok. Worth enough to walk around... 更多
All about DDR in one place There is an example of a Kaufhalle (supermarket) where there are a lot of products. When I went to Dredsen in the early 1980 there were almost no products in the stores not matter the type of store. I would suggest to have one or more stores which shows there were very few products.... 更多
An old 4-story school packed with memorabilia from 1945-1989 East Germany. Automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, house furnishings and appliances, school rooms, and so much more. A nice little souvenir ship at the end.
This museum is a little way out of Dresden but very easy to get to on the train or tram. Based in an old DDR industrial (?) block it is dedicated to the lives of people who lived in the DDR.
