For anyone who hasn't done gorilla tracking, I don't know what you're waiting for. I went with a couple of friends and we never regretted it. The sight of Gorillas (silver back mainly) just 2 metres away was exhilarating. The exercise was quite demanding given we had to climb up steep hills. Memories made!
One thing you quickly learn is every gorilla trek is unique. Some times the trek is easy and close, some times it is a tough climb. Some times the gorillas are resting, some times they are playing around. We got lucky. The climb was VERY difficult and we are in excellent shape. But, it was "gorilla tv" when we reached... 更多
We did the whole day gorilla habituation experience and it was amazing! We followed the gorilla family many hours, and got amazing photos. Guide and the staff was very knowledgeable. Thank you!
Me and my wife did the gorilla tracking in Rushaga, Uganda, for 2016-2017 New Year holidays, and it was a fantastic experience. Expensive as the tickets are 600 USD per person but worth for the unique experience and to protect these lovely animals from massive tourism. We stayed at the Gorilla Safari Lodge, the best place around with beautiful views... 更多
I spent one day on a gorilla trek here. It was amazing. The guides were great, the hike was fun, and the gorillas were unbelievable. I went with a group of about 6 others. The guide kept a good pace that everyone could follow. The guide was informative, and made sure that everyone was able to take pictures of the... 更多
Unbelievably moving. We did two gorilla treks. Trekkers meet at 8:00am for an orientation to the park, the gorillas, and the guidelines. The rangers and support staff, including pre-trackers, protection rangers, and porters are committed to providing guests with the best experiences possible and protecting the gorilla populations. After the orientation, guests are assigned which gorilla group they will track.... 更多
I arranged a gorilla trek with Crystal Safaris LTD, Uganda, as part of an 8 day safari and they created a fabulous trip. I stayed at Gorilla Safari Lodge which was just a short drive from the Rushaga gate where my trek began. In Bwindi there are several starting points each with different gorilla families and a different number of... 更多
We got into the park via Ruhija Gate after spending the night by the shores of Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. It was an hours drive from where we spent the night. We were asked to meet at the park at 7.30am but we had to wait up until 9am just so we could have a quorum of 8 to start... 更多
I would recommend hiring a porter US $15. Frees up your hands and is a source of income for some former poachers. Whilst you will want to take lots of photos don't forget to soak it up whilst you are with the gorillas. An hour goes very quickly and sometimes they will move on before the hour ends.
