I have been on to Baildon Moor many times, it is so quiet up there, the views are breathtaking, on a good clear day you can see for miles, I rode up only motorbike, and found lots of places to just stop and take on the air and the scenery, we'll worth a visit
This moorland offers many great views over the surrounding areas of Baildon and the surrounding villages of Eldwick, Bingley and distant towns too. There are a variety of walks of differing difficulty, there are site map boards in some of the car parks, but not all. On weekends you ay see paragliders taking to the air from the moor top....
A pleasant moor close to Bingley and Baildon. Easy parking and plenty of walks. There is a trig point at top of the moor, you might see Harvey Smith's horses gallop by and you can also watch the golfers play Baildon Moor Golf Course. The area is amazing with stunning views over Bradford,Leeds,Haworth and Ilkley. A great spot to come walking with family, but also good for mountain bikers, photographers and birdwatchers. There is more often than not an ice cream van parked in the top or bottom car park which is always worth a visit. Would definitely recommend this area, it is beautiful.THERE...
If you are a light or a keen walker then the Cow & Calf delivers, the views are amazing as you take in the wonders of this place. The cafe offers you blankets to wrap yourself in when enjoying a cuppa or a coffee.
walk here regularly, sometimes on my own sometimes with a friend, always feel safe, no two days are the same, stunning views always, lovely pub/tea rooms at Glenhouse. varied terrain from flat areas to steep wooded tree areas. great for children.
